Dear Carolyn,
thank you very much for sharing your poem with me: I know the pool and its surroundings very well, and I am impressed by your poetic sensibility, which turns the site into vital imagery to capture the contrast between transitoriness and timelessness. I understand the soul as timeless essence, and in this sense the poem can be ranked with Susila’s poems of silence, I would think. — By the way, did the pool at Laura’s exist when Aldous lived and did he swim in it? If so, the poem would also capture a reflection of Aldous’ soul, wouldn’t it?
Thank you again and keep in contact, will you?
Best wishes,
Bernfried

Carolyn Kleefeld is one of the most talented artists I have ever met and she has been one of the most important inspirations in my life. Carolyn is an unusually brilliant poet and a true visionary wizardess. Few people have touched me as deeply and inspired me as much as Carolyn. Eight of her incredible paintings hang in my living room, and I gaze at them everyday for my spiritual nourishment that they bring me. Carolyn comes closer than anyone I know expressing the multidimensional reality of Heaven on a 2-dimensional canvas.
